{"id":2387,"date":"2026-06-15T11:16:09","date_gmt":"2026-06-15T11:16:09","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/ambaccra.esteri.it\/?p=2387"},"modified":"2026-06-15T11:16:09","modified_gmt":"2026-06-15T11:16:09","slug":"second-edition-of-the-scholarship-programme-italy-runs-towards-the-future","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/ambaccra.esteri.it\/en\/news\/dall_ambasciata\/2026\/06\/second-edition-of-the-scholarship-programme-italy-runs-towards-the-future\/","title":{"rendered":"SECOND EDITION OF THE SCHOLARSHIP PROGRAMME \u201cITALY RUNS TOWARDS THE FUTURE.\u201d"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The Italian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation (MAECI), in collaboration with the University of Rome \u201cForo Italico\u201d, has launched the second edition of the scholarship programme <strong>\u201cItaly Runs Towards the Future.\u201d<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The programme is open to young student-athletes from Angola, Ethiopia, <strong>Ghana<\/strong>, Kenya, Mozambique, Nigeria, Senegal, South Africa, Tanzania, and Uganda who wish to enroll in the Master&#8217;s Degree programme in <strong>Sport Sciences and Techniques<\/strong> or <strong>Sport Management<\/strong> at the University of Rome \u201cForo Italico\u201d.<\/p>\n<p>For the 2026\u20132027 academic year, <strong>20 scholarships<\/strong> will be awarded (including <strong>2 reserved for Angolan students<\/strong>). Each scholarship is worth <strong>\u20ac9,000<\/strong> and covers a period of <strong>9 months<\/strong>, starting on <strong>1 October 2026<\/strong>. Scholarship recipients may apply for renewal for the second year of study, provided they have earned at least <strong>36 university credits (CFU)<\/strong> by <strong>30 September 2027<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>To be eligible, applicants must:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Demonstrate Italian language proficiency at <strong>B2 level<\/strong> or higher (CEFR);<\/li>\n<li>Be <strong>under 30 years of age<\/strong> on the application deadline.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Applications for the second edition are open from <strong>3 June 2026<\/strong> and close on <strong>30 June 2026 at 12:00 p.m. (Rome time)<\/strong>. Application procedures are described in Article 5 of the Call for Applications, which applicants are strongly encouraged to read carefully.<\/p>\n<p><strong>\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong><u>Renewals \u2013 First Edition (Academic Year 2025\u20132026)<\/u><\/strong><u><\/p>\n<p><\/u><\/p>\n<p>Scholarship holders from the first edition who wish to continue their studies in the 2026\u20132027 academic year may apply for a scholarship renewal, provided they have earned at least <strong>36 CFU by 30 September 2026<\/strong>. Renewal applications must be submitted by that date to <a href=\"mailto:concorsi.ammissione@uniroma4.it\"><strong>concorsi.ammissione@uniroma4.it<\/strong><\/a>, together with a passport, transcript of completed examinations, and internship project.
