“Italian Bilateral Scientific Cooperation Award”; “Innovation that Speaks Italian”; “Science, She Says” – calls for candidatures

The Embassy of Italy in Ghana is pleased to announce that the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation has begun collecting applications for:

  • The “Farnesina Award”, intended for an Italian researcher who has distinguished himself/herself abroad for outstanding scientific merit. The call is addressed to Italian junior researchers (under 40). The award will consist of a contribution supporting a research residency at a Research Institution.
  • The “Innovation that Speaks Italian Award”, dedicated to startups, recognizes the high innovative value of technological enterprises founded by Italian citizens and operating abroad.
  • The “Science, She says!“Award, intended for a female researcher under 40 from Africa or the Middle East.

Applications must be submitted by 18 September 2026, by completing the required documentation and sending it to the following address: ambasciata.accra@esteri.it .
